Greetings from the Critique Club!
Wow, what a colourful entry, Marcel. Looks like a veritable traffic jam of beetles of all sorts, and I didn't even know there was such thing as an insectarium, let alone one in Montreal...must go visit someday.
The use of diagonals serves you well, it adds dynamism to the shot of what could otherwise have looked very boring and fusty in terms of comp. The only thing I can find wrong is maybe the shot came across as cluttered to most voters; there is no one beetle dominating the pic and drawing attention to itself more than the others. Still, a very pretty shot, would look great on a calendar, and it finished well, so not a bad effort.
