Wow...thanks for the votes and the ribbon. This was a beautiful session I had with the sweetest 3 year old. Mom and dad now have this printed in a large canvas on their wall. I remember when my kids were this small.....the title said it all for me. These moments of childhood are fleeting.....they grow up way to fast.

Possibly one of the best child portaits, along with this one on DPC.

This is extraordinary!

You have a true gift for being able to bring out the tenderness and vulnerability of your subjects, man and beast.

Gorgeous processing. This feels truly timeless to me. A moment that recurs generation after generation, and is all too easy to overlook.

This image has caused me to stop and pay attention. That means it is in my 7-10 voting band. (Voted earlier)

Additionally, it is highly interesting/eclectic meaning it keeps me here long enough to offer a longer comment and a vote of 8 or more.

This is one of my 10s - I like it very much. Furthermore I think it enriches the DPC collective portfolio. Put simply, I wish we saw more stuff like this. Let me tell you why it pushes all the right buttons for me:

1. The superb fall off of focus.
2. The endearing subject.
3. The Noctilux-like swirly bokeh.
4. the lovely tones.
5. The well chosen vignette.

Just lovely.

Outstanding portrait; I could look at this a long time. The child is beautiful and the processing makes this even more charming.

A gorgeous shot overall, I love it. When I went to do my second look through I couldn't help but to wonder about the colored version. I'll bet you were torn between the two, maybe not. I couldn't say the other would of been better, not having seen the other, and because I like this one so much. Great job.
