Ah, this young lady isn't mine Brian. This photograph was actually from a wedding i shot. All the guests were camping by the lake at the venue in the National Park where i live. A very relaxed chilled wedding. I've shot a couple of weddings there now - great spot.
This also means i have no idea who Mrs Durphin is either, or why her name is written on the chalk board.

Funny I felt the same way as tome coming back for another look.
I gave you a 9 and I should have bumped to a 10.
Sorry. |

Should have bumped this from 9 to 10. I'm dumbfounded by the tones, the warm and cold are so real and otherworldly at the same time. |

This image has caused me to stop and pay attention. That means it is in my 7-10 voting band. (Voted earlier)
Additionally, it is highly interesting/eclectic meaning it keeps me here long enough to offer a longer comment and a vote of 8 or more.
This is one of my 10s - I like it very much. Furthermore I think it enriches the DPC collective portfolio. Put simply, I wish we saw more stuff like this. Let me tell you why it pushes all the right buttons for me:
1. The slightly puzzling context.
2. The crisp but somewhat low contrast rendition.
3. The superb composition.
4. The sense of depth.
5. The endearing subject.
6. The great light.
Excellent. |

Lovely restraint in this photograph. Well composed and beautifully rendered from a graphic point of view. Alas it's also cute enough to score really well, but hopefully it's going to be appreciated for more than that, because it certainly has more to offer. A 7+ pick for me. Thank you. |
