I took this one morning on the train in to work. These two were headed to the first day of school (a few days late for the Back to School challenge). I thought it was a touching moment.

So, the line in the poem talks about how everything young eventually gets old, and I wanted to include the woman's neck as I thought it helped emphasize her age. However, while I was focused on including the neck I failed to fully realize the crop also included the armpit. That was a miscalculation I should have thought through more thoroughly.

Thanks for the comments and the PH red.

This was my top pick Mark and founf no flaw. Incidntally, any way you try to crop this it's still a moving photograph - i mean that all details make sense.

I don't have a problem with the armpit. I think the neck and armpit very beautifully help convey the old/new message. Marvelous entry, Mark. Congrats on all the bling :)

Personally I think the composition could have been improved by cropping it lower to remove the armpit and the lower part of her face.

Great tones ! Would like to see a closer crop to eliminate the armpit.
