Challenge: Abstract Macro V (Advanced Editing VII)
Location: South Dakota State Fair
Date: Aug 30, 2014
Aperture: 1.8
ISO: 125
Shutter: 1/100
Date Uploaded: Sep 2, 2014

I was at the State Fair looking for something interesting, but did not have enough time to really look at my leisure. I had some amusement park ride shots that I really liked, but they just were not abstract. I tried the game booths too, but just didn't capture that right shot.

I had basically given up when I saw these six foot tall tires on a tractor. I was in love. While no genius image, it was probably as abstract as I was going to get in time for this challenge. And while the blown out sky is a problem, I actually thought the effect was kind of cool.

This is an interesting object.. looks like mini landscapes of rockformations but then it looks liek some sort of fabric too.. the blue cool tones make it calming and nice and I like how the front is detailed and sharp

It took me a while to see the Z, I was too busy with the scupltured edge. Pretty amazing shot, but no idea what it might be

I gave this a 9. I think it's killer. Macro-as-landscape is one of my favorite things, and this canyon running to an infinite sky is my idea of an eerie, alien landscape.

Can't tell what it is, so that part meets the challenge. The depth of field is good, but I would say it could have been helped by composing to avoid the bright highlights in the background.

I would have scored this much higher if you had isolated your "Z" area. To me the FG and the BG (white area) are very distracting but if you had straightened the lovely curve on the right side leading the eye to your "Z". I would have scored it much higher. Good colors
