Greetings from the Critique Club!
Loving the complementary colours here, good choice, which is probably why I gave it a 6 in voting. Lighting and composition are adequate but not outstanding. I think the main weakness here is making the foremost part of the shell oof; although the whole idea of this challenge is to shoot an abstract macro, if the macro is too abstract, then the voters' histogram will speak for itself. Sadly.
However I do think you are on the right track, you have a good eye and ideas. Keep on shooting and entering!

| I like the contrasting colours on this but would have preferred more of the central 'star' to have been in focus. |

| I think I would have scored this higher if the tip of the seashell (?) was in focus. Colours are beautiful and I really like the bokeh in the background |

I really love the blue background to this and the off coral..
Looks like a seashell to me, the technical of the details is hard for me to see and wish it was more sharper especially the ends of the shell....I really like the composition and the blending of the colors together.. I could see something like this hanging in my bathroom since its sea shells |

| I gave this a 5 at first when I was voting and now when I came back to comment I don't understand why. I love the focus being a bit further down in the shell(?) rather than at the top. The crop does feel slightly tight imo, would have loved to see a bit more. Colours are perfect! 8 |

a shell - really well choosen format. I also like the bokeh in the blue part. I'm not sure if it were even more impressive if the point of greatest sharpness was on top of the shell

| Nice photo. Good framing and choice of focal point. Color contrast is appealing as well. |
