I spent so many hours on this! Gee! An entire day!
... Just finding "the perfect tree" with nothing behind it but sky ... so it would be easier to put into the scene... Wow! Not as easy as I thought.
The cow (actually she's a bull; I gave her a sex change) was easy: Walk through poison oak by the road until the cow's side is presented... Shoot, mask off... add shadow. BahaBING!
But... the glass dome (given on a clock to Hubby and me for our wedding 28 years ago)... What a nightmare! No, Silly! NOT the marriage! The DOME! The DOME was a nightmare. You're so silly sometimes... *sigh*
I knew it would be the most difficult to make "believable" but, gee golly! *grin*
I struggled with how to do this for a long while (and through many shots)...
I originally shot it in a light tent to control the glare, etc. Then, after much frustration and inaptitudeness on my part (no that's not a word... Sue me ), I realized I could cut out a bunch of work by shooting it in a similar location to give the shadows and such! Eureka!
But... I couldn't find anywhere where I could put the dome where the lower part was green and the upper part was sky, so I shot two images... one for bottom, one for top. Merged them and got rid of most of the middle with a mask.
This is my first experience drawing something in by hand for Expert Editing (the flying bird and the leaf). I always thought I had to photograph it... even in Expert Editing. But, I asked SC beforehand and... it's all good! Yay!
I learned something today!
Six images. Two for the dome, one for the tree, one for the cow, one for the grass, and one for the sky. I had to take out some clouds from the sky as shot, because they didn't look "real". HA! God is so funny sometimes!
And yeah... this doesn't have any deep meaning like my hero, Gyaban's images do.
BUT... I'm hoping someone will notice that one leaf in the lower right corner and suspect that I have something to say.
*grin*
To me... it says... HOPE. There is always hope.
Remember that, folks.
ETA two days later: Not sure how it applies to my situation today, though... My BFF, as some of you might remember, has been battling Stage Four Cancer... well... today I found out that... there's nothing else that can be done for her.
So... she's going home (from the hospital) tomorrow... to live in a hospice hospital bed until her body dies.
I knew it was coming... eventually.
We all did... from the time she was diagnosed the second time. But... I thought I had more time.
What are you doing with the time you have with YOUR loved ones? How much time are you guaranteed?
HOPE for the best... but PLAN for the worst. Go ahead... spend a few minutes more on the people you love.
I can guarantee that you won't regret it in the end. :D
Life is good... even when it's not.

ETA: Dang! I've loved this all week... came back to look at it several times to make sure I still loved it. I did.
Now it's an hour and a half before rollover... and I see so many things wrong with it! Arg! Arg. Arg. ARG.
Oh well... it's just a game, right?
Right? No! It's NOT a game! It's my LIFE!! A virtual RIBBON is at stake here! Oh my word... *sigh*
*sigh again*

I'm loving these comments.
I purposely made it "not real"... shadows and all...
I wanted it to be "surreal"... :D
