 Taken at a birthday party for my twin grandchildren. What I like most about this photo are the expressions on their faces because those expressions capture so well the personality of each of them. While I realize the candles are overexposed, they were necessary to the entire story told by the photo, so I didn't crop them out. I tried playing with the highlights and exposure on the candles but everything I tried looked worse.
Overall, I used Lightroom to crop and tweak exposure and contrast, black and white clipping, sharpening and smoothing.

critique club:

cute pic, unfortunelty these never do well in free studies, unless you can transcend the lack of an emotional connection to the subjects these types of images really only appeal to a very very small few.

you did a nice job getting it reasonably sharp at 1/30 shutter and its not dark or grainy, you got yourself a nice memory here and that should be all that matters.
