 Almost entered this in Communication but pulled it at the last second. The shot was really of the rainbow, with the phone pole an unfortunate part of the shot. Plus it was just a snap shot taken through a car windshield (obvious rain drops). Decided it really wasn't a contest-worthy "photograph" but rather a quick snapshot.

But it was THE most amazing rainbow I've seen in my life. A full double arc -- continuing off both sides of the frame to the ground -- and so bright!

I was just excited to share it.

this was shot through my car windshield which has tinting along the upper six inches or so. That's surely causing the darker sky along the top portion. Is that what you mean?

Quite stunnning scene. Any idea why the sky is darker on the outside? I've never known what atmospheric conditions cause it.
