Yes, porcupette really is the term for a baby porcupine. If I'm right, this little guy is the one Ryan and I witnessed being born in a tree two weeks previous! (And yes we have the photos to prove it...)
Anyway this was shot in the wild of a park in Kanata, the porcupette is on a fairly low branch while Mama glowered at use from about 15 ft up in a nearby pine :-)
I know it probably don't do well, going head-to-head with studio shots of puppies and kittens and maybe good shots of livestock. But I bet nobody else has a shot of a wild baby porcupine entered!
