 Photographer’s Notes
I was shooting for the Landmark challenge and for a change had several entry-worthy photos. My entry was a whimsical take n the Space Needle. This is a well-known Seattle landmark with an interesting history but would be largely unrecognized outside the US Pacific Northwest. So, here for your enjoyment is what I think is a superior photo but less well suited for Landmarks.

I had parked the car and was walking around downtown Seattle looking for interesting vantage points to shoot this wonderful building – my favorite Seattle building by far. Walking past the restored Arctic Building, the doorman came out and seeing my camera invited me inside to see the renovation. It was great, including a restored grand turn-of-the-century ballroom. From there, I shot this photo through a window with a venetian blind. I shot it with the blind up, but it feels much better this way.

Free Study’s are tough competition but maybe this will resonate!

Too much processing. I think there's a trend to try to make images look more exciting by putting them through an HDR process. It just doesn't work for me, sorry.
