I think when photographing an object the frame should be set up to give maximum impact, perhaps showing the object in relation to its environment, or a close up for a more abstract feel. If it's a straight on shot then the photograph only becomes a lesser representation of the object featured and since this is a photography competition I can't give marks for just being shown an interesting object, sorry. |

background is a bit busy, wonder what it would look like if you eliminated the background by shooting this a night with an off camera flash to the side, or did a long night exposure and painted light with a flashlight from the side so as not light the background -5 |

I have never understood these bottle trees and a lot of ppl have them in their yards however, they do make awesome tiki torches!!!! I do like this tree though, others I have seen were way more goddy.. this one has taste on how it was done :0)) photo is a nice one |

That is an interesting tree. I think this needs a shallower depth of field (smaller f stop) to draw attention to it. I do like the composition of the shot. |
