Photographer’s Notes[/u[
I live in Seattle and the city is well known for Coffee … Starbucks, Seattle’s Best Coffee, Tully’s … all brands known throughout the world. Seems like there’s a coffee shop on every corner … mighty welcome in the cold and wet we get here so often. So the photo is true to the theme of local flavor.
I wanted something with a little style in it, so I visited my favorite coffee joint, The French Bakery, and said I want to photograph beautiful coffee. They have a coffee artist on staff that decorated my Latte with an octopus (looks more like a clown to me) and to reward myself, I bought a chocolate croissant.
Shot it. I’m happy with it. But …
They import their coffee from Italy, Attibassi, and a croissant is French, right? And the cup says Bologna. Well they’re known for their coffee bars, too. And an octopus upside down does look like a clown.
Okay, “I’ll take mixing my metaphors for $500, Alex.” Hope you like this!
