 This photo from Deer Ridge on 06/17/14 3:39PM. The bachelors' group, in velvet, was calm in the woods. But, if you watched them for a few minutes, you could see how badly the biting flies and mosquitoes were pestering them. Hence, they are about to gallop up to the tundra. The most likely place to see these bulls will be in the tundra in the next few days and then above tree line for the rest of the summer. Canon 5Dmk3, Canon EF 400mm f/5.6L USM, f/7.1, 1/60s, ISO 100, lens focal length 400mm.

the big rock in the foreground feels like it is blocking me from entering the photo fully. Nice light on the antlers.
