 I was able to talk this elk cow out of stomping me to death. I did make the mistake of getting too close to the calf. I do know better. The newborn spotted calf lured me into the danger zone. Upper Beaver Meadows. 06/17/14 5:43 PM. Canon 5Dmk3, Canon EF 400mm f/5.6L USM, f/5.6, 1/320s, ISO 400.

I suspect many will claim that this is not a typical landscape, and I find it a little difficult to disagree. Still, it remains a fine wildlife image. I appreciate all your wildlife shots, and look forward to each.

In my view this is not so much a landscape. Its not a bad image in itself.
