me too, i cant relate it to Communication at all, besides thinking far far beyond as to, "oh this is how people reach other continents across the sea" but then that doesnt really count as communication too, does it? transportation yes, connection yes, but Communication, I'd still say no. Quite a stretch already, dont you think? I guess that's how other voters must be thinking. But if this isnt for Communication challenge, its a nice photo. i like where you shot this from, and the colours.

| good sharp detail have no idea how this goes with communication. one thing i noticed is the mast seams to be tilted to the left a bit. there is a litle clutter but i think the sky helps alot by giving it a simple yet good background. framing really helped with this too. This is a pretty common mistake but one alot of people including myself make a ton is shooting in the midle of the day in your photo it cast shadows directly down onto the sail. I think sunset or rise would have given the sails a warmer feel. |

| Wow, And here I am reading volume 17 of O'Brian's Master and Commander. Beautiful clear shot of the spars and rigging. What ship and "Where away?" Looks like a lot of new lines on her. I have to ask though . . . what is the connection to communication? Were there no signal flags to fly? BOL |

| Great shot. I've seen lots of rigging shots that are just a mess, but this is good composition. On the downside, the relationship to the challenge is something I can't quite understnd. I looked for signals, or flags of some kind, but I just don't know sailing well enough to understand what you are showing us. Good luck anyway. |

| This is a very nice photo but I don't see how it conveys communication. I would score it much higher under a more appropriate theme. |
