Lighting and details are great on this composition. I almost missed the asymmetry because my attention was drawn to the expression on the model's face and I followed her eyes to look at the strand of hair coming down her face. While that expression adds interest it also has the unintended effect of drawing the attention away from what is asymmetrical in the shot - the uneven hair. I think the idea is solid but just needed a little more visual clues to hit your audience over the head with the asymmetry. Since the center strand was meant as a way to split both sides of the face you could have had one side of the lips one color with the other side another. Different color eye shadow would have also been a possibility along with the lipstick but may be a bit too much. |
