I see what you mean, the framing was very much dictated by the light. Trying to minimise the BIG reflection from the right at the same time filling the frame with the subject, trying to get as much of the wall and the perspective effect to the right, also I had to crop some words which may have offended some people. I hoped that the brighter colours would draw the eye, leading to the large black writing then the reflections? Thanks for the comments.
Icarterdavis:
Thanks, see above more detailed explanation.

Thanks, glad you liked it.

No I meant "bored" as in the kids being bored and therefore resort to this. I take note of your point about changing the time of day to take the shot. Though I did not want to use flash, I'm not sure if the light would be good enough. I might try it and see. Thanks.
tmilob:
Thanks, I tried to find something a bit different from the mobile phone theme and the radio mast. Although the shots on those themes were much better than I dreamt up.
alien2thisworld:
Thanks much appreciated, see reply to Iarus about lighting.
riotspyne:
No its a straight tunnel. The natural sunlight was coming from the far end. Thanks for the comments, glad you liked it.

Thanks for the comments. I agree with you about the reflection, I knew it would detract from the score and I tried to minimise it as much as possible. I didn't want to crop it out because the ratio of the picture would have been spoilt and I was trying to keep the impression of this wall of writing going on for some distance into the picture. I'm with you on the cell phone & towers for sure...
Thanks to all who voted and special thanks for the comments.

I like your interpretation, but within the wall of the graffiti there doesn't seem to be a focal point.
I'd rather seen one spot that draws the eye and the rest of the wall be the frame. |

I think you meant "message board" right? Anyway, good idea but very dark. These shots are very hard to do though with sunlight on the other end, I think you could have done better just before/after sunset/sunrise. |

Good message, though I wonder if different lighting would have given a fuller feeling shot. |

interesting picture, i cant tell if this is a curved tunnel or the light source is comeing from an angle
also the pink writing on the top mid area that starts with a D, looks as if it is painted on the picture and not the wall, thats strange :) but it makes for an interesting picture |

In my opinion this is a great subject, well focused, but could use some more cropping on the right. The blue/green area distracts me and pulls my eyes away from what I think should be the main focus. If the white wall had kind of faded into blackness I would have rated it higher. Thanks for thinking creatively! All those tin cans, cell phones & towers are getting hard to look at! |
