 This park is a block away from my parents place. I was there with my son and nephews when I saw this pool of water left after a couple of rainy days, in what's supposed to be an area for skating.

I find that the image has a good symmetry, both on the vertical axis (to be expected because of the water) but also on the horizontal one, which was a fluke.

Hello from the Critique Club...

Interesting shot and certainly meets the challenge. Well done for seeking out and composing for the symmetry of the refection.
It is sometimes hard to find a photograph in the every day (which is what made this challenge a hard one to participate in. I didn't submit an entry!)

There is a old piece of photography advice that states. 'Frame the shot how you feel is right. Then take a step further forward and take the picture'
This is good advice a lot of the time and will really help add impact to your shots.. give it a go next time you are out and about.

This image needs a little more impact IMO. I'd even go as far as cropping the top and bottom and making the aspect Landscape...
It did not score that high, perhaps because the park element although present is not the main subject element.
