Challenge: Symmetry Without Reflections (Advanced Editing VII*)
Camera: Nikon D3200
Lens: Nikon AF-S Nikkor 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G DX VR
Date: May 5, 2014
Aperture: f/16
ISO: 100
Shutter: 32 sec
Date Uploaded: May 5, 2014

My wife mentioned over the weekend that twins would be a nice subject for this challenge. Since we don't have twins in our circle of friends and relatives, i decided to create some using camera trickery.

Double take, but single exposure.
- Shutter on bulb
- Start exposure
- Fire flash (direct speedlite with gridded snoot)
- cover the lens (with a black/grey skiing cap)
- reposition the model and the light
- remove lens cover
- Fire flash again
- End exposure

32 seconds total exposure time.

The model is my 11yr old son. This was the first complete exposure that we made after an hour of test shooting. This was also the last shot of the evening because his patience ran out.

I'm guessing this is a double exposure in bulb mode. And that this might be the image where the question about removing a portion in the middle was asked :)
