Same technique I use on these ones and a few others:




I have adapted a copal shutter to the front of the lens to have precise control over the exposure time when taking multiple exposure images in exteriors.

This image was obtained by exposing the two halves of the sensor independently. I hold the camera in portrait orientation such that the long side of the sensor is parallel to the side wall of the freight cars. Cover about half of the copal shutter aperture and expose the right part of the sensor. Flip the camera 180 degrees and expose the opposite part of the sensor. Each exposure was of about 1/120s.

One of the best in the challenge for sure- space age post modern feel- which properly belies the trickery and advanced technique in the capture, well done.

this has me truly perplexed how you created this eye-catching piece of art. it looks like there are multiple image captures here, perhaps a long exposure with something covering the lens between positionings.
I want to come back to this later and spend some more time trying to unravel it's mystery.

I'm bothered by this photo, as I've already handed out a favorite. Well there'll have to be two. I'm assuming this is lens-cap-long-exposure-flip-the-camera trickery? Whatever it is it's powerful and mysterious, and I wish it were 20 times larger, taking up a wall. Sweet tones. Excellent stuff.
