There are only two roads that go through the small village where I live, this is the main road and i'm actually standing at my front door taking this photograph. That building opposite did used to be the village school up until 2 years ago when it had to close as it only had about five children. Would have been handy for Matilda but she gets the school bus to the new school six miles away now.

Quaint Clive, wouldn't of thought Matilda was old enough to go to school though, unless you start them early!

Well, she's four now and only goes 10-3.30 four days a week and the morning of that is nursery. It's not compulsory until 5 or 6 i think. Generally, i'm not a fan of sending kids to school until much later really - i think they start too early - but Matilda loves going and as it's a small village with only a handful of kids i think she'd miss the company and her friends. It's all play orientated learning at this age anyway. And it's Welsh language which will be interesting as she grows up bilingual.

Oh Dear, yes time has slipped away, I kind of figured she was still about 3 :)

Nah, it's a lovely place in a National Park. It just looks grim at dusk when it's raining and i've obviously chosen to create that mood.

Loving the tones, it enhances the whole scene to what it is, a street designed long ago 7

This seems to suffer from underexposure there are no strong shadows. The light on the window lifts it but it seems to me to be a grim landscape of a grim place
