A close photo of this plover - possibly a bit too close! A lower perspective, from lying on the ground would make for a stronger photo, I believe, but you have captured some of the bird's natural behaviour, although a slightly wider shot would have allowed a bit more of the habitat to be included.

This image must have been taken with a very long lens unless of course your Killdeer behave very differently than here. Here, when one gets anywhere near their nest, they tend to run away from the nest and give you the broken wing thing, hoping you will follow them away from the nest.

Nice image, but the harsh sun really did not do you any favours. Good luck in the challenge.
