Wonderful feel of spontaneity here in this prodigious capture of clouds backlit by a red lozenge of a sun, with a prismatic aura and attended by a halo of crepuscular rays. Great shot. |

What I see first is all the noise/grain in your picture. To me it seems that it is more noise vs grain. A noise reduction filter would go a long way.
Not sure what time of the day this was taken but I don't think at night/evening as the headlights are not on, on the vehicles. Obviously this was taken through the windshield and there are small water dots/flairs near the sun (but not "spots").
The tilt of the horizon bothers me...I like to see level pictures (unless it's a tilt challenge...duh). And just sometimes a tilted picture works but not here.
Overall the picture seems to be very underexposed (dark) and quite a bit of detail is lost in that darkness. But your caption of the clouds definitely meets the challenge.
I think that this is a redeemable image and has potential. But you need to watch some of the tutorials that I suggested to get your "ahhh haaaaa" moment.
I hope that helps. |

Love the colors here- and the lighting makes you feel as disoriented as the low angle sun does on a late winter day. |
