Taken with my IPHONE4 in HDR.
Processed and edited with HDR3 IPHONE APP...
We were picking up my daughter 2 hrs away from spending the week with Grandma.. The storm was coming in and all I could think of was the awesome sunbeams coming through the clouds.. the rest of the clouds all week were boring or not even there. LOL Who would have known to take a road trip and then out of all times of not having my Nikon with me, I would have came across my cloud picture on the road.. Iphone 4 was all I had. So I opened up my HDR app and took it. Yes this was taken while we were driving going 70mph, no I was not driving LOLOL

Wonderful feel of spontaneity here in this prodigious capture of clouds backlit by a red lozenge of a sun, with a prismatic aura and attended by a halo of crepuscular rays. Great shot.

What I see first is all the noise/grain in your picture. To me it seems that it is more noise vs grain. A noise reduction filter would go a long way.

Not sure what time of the day this was taken but I don't think at night/evening as the headlights are not on, on the vehicles. Obviously this was taken through the windshield and there are small water dots/flairs near the sun (but not "spots").

The tilt of the horizon bothers me...I like to see level pictures (unless it's a tilt challenge...duh). And just sometimes a tilted picture works but not here.

Overall the picture seems to be very underexposed (dark) and quite a bit of detail is lost in that darkness. But your caption of the clouds definitely meets the challenge.

I think that this is a redeemable image and has potential. But you need to watch some of the tutorials that I suggested to get your "ahhh haaaaa" moment.

I hope that helps.

Love the colors here- and the lighting makes you feel as disoriented as the low angle sun does on a late winter day.
