This is a wild owl, free to flee. People are very spoiled by all the tethered, confined, rehab owls presented for closeup photography. Many have never seen a wild owl. And, this one was not baited, either.
Very disappointed with the finish of this image. On the last day, voters took this image down 0.20. Not fair. What is that "1" all about. A hater, I think. |

Great photo. Just loses a little with the owl against the branch (detail wise) but that couldn't be helped. |
