Hi Teri

FIRST IMPRESSION:
Nice scene. :|

COMPOSITION:
I don't have any problems with the setup of the photo. Maybe getting lower and shooting 'up' a bit more would get you a bit more sky and eliminate the bottom of the photo (path?) :)

TECHNICAL:
Your lighting seems a bit dark on the foreground. Also, there is quite a bit of noise on the photo. I realize that you are using a Sony camcorder, and I'm sure you don't have much control over exposure/shutter. :|

ARTISTIC:
I honestly think that this was a nice scenery to which the camera did no justice. :|

OVERALL:
A fair shot, technically poor. :(

Cheers and good luck in the future challenges.

This one is so hard to decide on. I like the different textures in the photo. what I think is a bit distracting is the straight line just at the bottom of the photo, I wish you had cropped that out. Perhaps it would have been easier to follow with your eyes into the photo. Right now, my eyes stop right at the bottom of it. -Annida

i can tell that it looked very pretty when you were taking this picture, but techinically it didn't "come out" well because the plants don't stand out...

I find the background over powering..maybe shot at a different time of day would bring out cacti better...nicely composed though.

it may have been better if you had taken it in the early morning or late afternoon. (give more life to it)

Seems to be out of focus. I noticed that you only used 45kb of the 150kb allowed. I think this would have added to your sharpness.

A little blurry, but otherwise a nice photo.

What a contrast! Just wish it was a little clearer but the composition is excellent. Amazing.

Is this somewhere near Palm Springs? Would've been more interesting in black and white i think. 6.

the mountains are so out of focus, if not it might be much better
