 This is on the windward side of the island in an area called Lanikai, it's a very exclusive community. Whenever Obama comes back to visit the islands, this is the area he stays in.

Lanikai beach has often been named the #1 beach in the world but this part is along where the houses are. There's no sand along here, just rocks. Every few hundred yards, there are public rights-of-way that give people shoreline access. At the end of this opening is a small jetty. When we got here it was still dark and I walked out on the jetty. I didn't realize I was carrying my tripod bag upside down and as soon as I got to the end of the jetty, the tripod slid out, bounced off the jetty and straight into the water. The tide was really high so it was pretty deep, up past my stomach. I had to fish around for it in the dark with my feet...hah.

Anyway, thanks to everyone who took the time to vote and comment!

Here's the color version. I thought the colors were too distracting so went with a b&w so it would feel as minimal as possible.

Congrats Mark! beautiful shot, the only thing that slightly bugs me is a thin white halo around the islands - sharpening? could've easily cloned it out I guess...
