 Main photo taken in the carpark where I shot for the Cold challenge, by Lake Chuzenji. I needed the shadow of the mountain because it was a perfectly cloudless day and bright sunshine would have made blending the old photo much much harder. (And I only had a 2 second delay because I've misplaced my remote trigger.)
The old photo: It rarely snowed in Canberra, but this was an occasion it did. I took a photo of the photo in an album when I was back in Australia; and if it's the same date as another photo, it was on 7 August 1965, which was when I was just over three years old. However, I suspect this was shot two years later, judging by the appearance of my brothers and my memory of throwing snowballs at our neighbours over the fence.
I have very few photos of me as a child with me - lucky I remembered I had this one.
I've also probably got the scale wrong - you must think I was a huge child. ;-Þ

Checking for diamond cut edges, and only the snowman seems to be suffering from that problem!
