Cool! I was searching for other people using a go pro and I find out that your image had been taken with that camera!
I've seen the time lapse too. Have you used a motorized slider? It's awesome how the Go Pro worked on the scene without flickering - have you edited the images a lot or the camera simply did a super job? |

Thanks for all the kind comments and the votes. This was the first 'serious' photo I've taken in over 3 years so the invitation to enter and the kind offer from Langdon spurred me to go out with the camera again.
The image was taken just before dawn on a lake high in the Welsh mountains of Snowdonia. For those fellow paddlers the boat was built in my garage over the winter/spring of 2012/13 from western red cedar and this was only its second trip.
Whilst at this location I put the Gopro on a mechanical kitchen timer and took a timelapse pan. //www.youtube.com/watch?v=m6sA18AZKJg
This was taken over 18 minutes and is comprised of 550 individual images.

| Because I have no special knowledge of wooden canoes I'm sure I'm not giving this handsome craft its due. It's the fairy tale-like surrounds that appeals to me. The light on the moss-covered trees and rock, and on the stone structure, is what I really like. |
