I like the idea of adding a point of interest in a photograph to enhance the landscape. In the case of this photo, the Point of Interest dominates the photo and distracts from the challenge. Poor lighting on the mountains and trees didn't help the situation. J.Gill

I like the negative space. Expresses the wideness of the lake well. I would have cropped out the upper part with the woods and the shore, so that only the lake is visible. That would increase that expression even more.

Yellow draws too much attention, dull it for a better focus on th LANDSCAPE!

Cute shot. Too bad the day was so hazy, because a clearer shot of the hills would have helped out. Can't controle Mother Nature I guess :)

Very nice shot! A tad hazy in the distance, but I like the idea. Suggestion: could you saturate the greens and blues more (to fake out the haze). 8 Swash

Great color on those little objects. I think this is another one that will be great to see full-size because it looks like the clarity is there, just not so good at the 640 max.

You can almost smell the humidity and feel chill air! 9

Nice idea. Too bad backround couldn't be clearer and picture cropped closer to kayakers (sp?)

I really like the color and focus on the kayakers. It seems that if you cropped a bit more of the water they wouldn't be quite so centered though. Nice shot.

I think this shot could be helped with *groan* a rule of thirds placement of the subjects. They are just too centered and the eye doesn't move around the frame. I would crop off the bottom and left.

Great picture. But the category is landscape, and because of the fog, hardly any landscape is visible, so as a landscape picture, I`m afraid it doesn`t quite cut it.

the foces is on the boats and not on the landscapes

This is a neat shot, but I would prefer the boaters to be somewhere other than dead center in the frame... the 'haze' here is also making a tough time of the scenery, but the boaters do add a nice element to this photo :) - setzler
