 My idea was to capture all the color and detail of a candle, which I've seen are popular in indoor macro challenges, but I wanted to give it a shot at trying to tell a story, or at least add an emotional dimension to the picture. This also helped make up for the fact I don't have a macro lens, and my candlelight doesn't show as much detail as it could.

This is one is a crop of more than 20 takes. I also tried flares, and other types of candles, but in the end this one is the one that worked better.

Absolutely wonderful image, just doesn't quite hit the "macro" for the challenge
