 "The Egg is Life"

This is a glass egg my wife got me for Christmas... It's just plain green glass. I used it to test the lighting for my Transitions III shot with the ice cubes and saw potential in it for something.

And this is it.

The inside originally reflected the blue backdrop. It's sitting on non-glare glass with black foam board beneath. The separation inside is the defraction of the blue backdrop in the glass. I did an orange overlay and selectively replaced the color with a layer mask. Then added a second yellow overlay too. Both are set to overlay mode actually. Before that I'd converted to black & white and masked so only the inside of the egg went grey (in the reflection too) so I wouldn't be putting the orange and yellow overtop the blue and blending colors.

I like the result. Hopefully the voters will too!
