Something about this shot feels "odd" to me, and yet I am drawn to look at it! I love that the body is in good focus, but the wings show movement; a very nice capture. |

A good capture of the duck/goose but the PS work on the sky is too obvious and detracts from this otherwise interesting photo. Also, ignoring the sky for a bit, a faster shutter speed would have frozen the wings better (though some may like the sense of motion , to me they just look blurry. |

fanatastic shot. Great wildlife shot considering how difficult I believe this challenge to be (without a lot of zoo shots). This is great. I gave it a 9. |

That is one brightly lit bird. I hope you didn't drink from the water he took off from. ;) |

this is a beautiful image. i love the capture, the timing, and the general composition. unfortunately, it seems a little over-processed. |

Nice in-flight capture. I like the colors and the fact that there is still motion in the wingtips. The halo / glow around the body seems a bit artifical - buy I guess the sun could just possibly be behind him (but I really don't think so.) |

Not sure, but there may be a bit of dodging on this shot, still I like enough to mark it high. The framing of this bird in the frame with the neck stretched out works real well. Thanks for sharing. -danny |

A good shot but seems to be a bit overdone in post processing. |

Nicely done. This can't have been easy to catch with all that detail in there. 8 - floyd |

I like this a lot but would like it better if there weren't such a halo around the subject. Maybe it was just like this when the shutter clicked but it feels like a post processing error ... to much dodge and burn. Or maybe too little around the edges. |

Very crisp and clear, and great title. The burning and dodging seems a bit heavy handed, but I still really like it. |

Exceptional bird photography. The sky looks a bit strange to me, though. For some reason, it seems a bit too light behind the bird. Nevertheless, I know how hard it is to get these shots and you've done good, nicely detailed work on this one. |

Wonderful focus! These guys are so difficult to get while flying and you've captured a very nicely exposed, sharp, and unusual shot. The color is great and the dark grey feel is very atmospheric and dramatic. Excellent details in the feathers and even in the highlights/shadows. The angle of the shot and the crop has made the wings the focus point and they do an excellent job at that. Impressive shot! |

Slightly faster shutter speed and this would have been perfect imo. Still this is a great shot. Well done. |

The dodging you used is way to evident for my liking. It is great shot but I know there are other ways to help correct for an underexposed imagine so it is more subtle. |
