| Great capture but perhaps not presented to its best capability. Not sure about the halo glow which emphasises the dark head and perhaps the position in the frame is too centred. Despite this, love the form! |

| Great shot of a bird in flight! I wish the head didn't get lost in the wing as much but I realize that some things are out of the photographer's control... |

| A few weeks ago I took a bunch of seagull-in-flight pictures in San Francisco. I now have a better appreciation of how hard they are to get right. This one is quite interesting because the bird is in a non-typical flight attitude. Well captured. Well focused. The halo around the bird is distracting and lowers my score somewhat. I don't know if the original resolution would stand up to it but I think if the bird filled more of the frame, it would be better. |
