I just love the light globes everywhere. And how everything seems to be still and rushing at the same time. |

This image has caused me to stop and pay attention. That means it is in my 7-10 voting band. (Voted earlier)
Additionally, it is highly interesting/eclectic meaning it keeps me here long enough to offer a longer comment and a vote of 8 or more.
This is one of my 9s - I like it a lot. Furthermore I think it enriches the DPC collective portfolio. Put simply, I wish we saw more stuff like this. Let me tell you why it pushes all the right buttons for me:
1. The sense of a transient moment - I feel this would look completely different in just a few seconds.
2. The muted coloration - easy to be seduced by a monochrome treatment here. I'm glad you resisted.
3. The pretty flares.
4. The pedestrian peril!
5. The guy in the white shirt and how he seems to be watching you.
6. The elbow and bag.
7. The sense of the city around us.
Really enjoyable shot. |

Great title. Remarkably similar to a picture I shot on film a few years ago. Is this New York City? |

Interesting that you chose to shoot straight into the sun. It really reveals the texture in the road. |

WOW. The light in this is very interesting, the difference between the street & the sky is awesome. The sky looks like it's in another world. Love the way you used the sun. I would guess it was serendipity, you were there, this happened, your camera was ready. This exact moment will never happen again. |

Goodness me, a snapshot that transcends the glass ceiling! It's a real photograph. I mean that, in case you doubt, as a very big compliment. Anyone can make a photograph out of 'photography' but very few can make a photograph out of a single heartbeat. Thank you. |

Wonderful flare, and love the touches of red from the lights and taillights. |
