I tried 11 animals but it wasn't so obvious that I'm sure partisan DPC'ers would vote it down. There were no flower petals that worked, no obvious candid live subjects so I sat at the damn pondering my options when this little boat attracted my attention...
Shoot, rotate to level horison, mask trees, gaussian blur, apply increase in light and saturation to sea and yacht, crop, save as jpg, vignette, sfw (strip EXIF)

What do I know about sailing? Pretty much nil... I know it's not a yacht but it sounded better than "Skip Five 11". Or is that "Skiff"? :)

Aaah thanks Robert, a dinghy! Wonder why it's called the Rietvlei "Yacht" Club then....? :)

| Hahja! The "yacht" is a Finn Dinghy. It used to be the single-handed class for the Olympic games, and I raced one seriously for years. It's a beast of a boat, a real physical workout. The sail, I can tell by the logo in the corner, is by North Sails, and that's the sail;maker I worked for when I was young :-) So thanks for the trip down memory lane... |
