 My brother, Carl, served in this conflict.
He was 'gay' and had a tough time in the Army.
A year after discharge, he was set upon by men who disliked gays, outside a gay bar, on 10/24, his 26th birthday. He never woke up again. However, the army does look after its own. His last weeks were in a military hospital. His grave is in a military cemetery.

A very special tribute, nicely composed, to honor one of our military heroes.
The VA often gets bad press but they strive to give excellent care.

Guess that's what the "11" is all about. I'm conditioned not to think of it as na RVN vet back when it was considered something to be unproud of.
