good negative and positive shapes. the composition is just off balance enough to give it some energy. the light on the water is crucial to holding the composition together. |

I'd rather see this with what ever that is on the bottom edge cropped out.

I love the tones and the framing, but the editing is a bit too much for me. The water and the wood are fine, but the handrail has been reduced to an overworked watercolor. Oh for just a bit more restraint this would have been great, but for me minimalist shots like this are all about texture, and part of this song is muddled. Top ten |
