| Well its not the time of year for these lovlies here but I can just about smell them with this great photo you've created. Is this spring in New Zealand? If only I could keep these going year round in my home or garden... ever so slightly over sharpened.... |

| what beautiful colors. i love how you've caught the texture of the petals. you really nailed the background. it is not so sanitized to make the image feel artificial, but it's not busy enough to distract from the subject. great job. even though some might see another boring flower shot, i see one of my top picks for the challenge. good luck! |

Good lighting, subject's a bit uninteresting though. If you like flowers then this is always going to appeal, but I'm looking for creaativity in this challenge and I don't see very much beyond your lighting.
Background is quite distracting. |

| A well done composition. Beautiful arrangement with texture one can touch. being that these flowers are as delicate I would not have opted for the strong dark regression into the right. Not all is lost because the well lit areas carry the day. Placing at 6 on my initial pass. I will return. Bumping up. |

| It takes a lot for a flower picture to appeal to me enough to give it a really high score, but the lighting on this one against the black background, and the great focus makes this one especially pretty and appealing. 9 |

| Strong points: A true study in lighting - exceptional rendering. This image has a wide light value range - looks to be several stops - which makes it impressive indeed. Colors are great. Suggestions for improvement: May be just a bit crowded at the top edge. |

| The details and colors caused by the backlight are great. I wonder whether a slightly more structured arrangement or a tighter crop could have improved the composition more, currently I find there are just too many flowers. |

| Very nice but I wish the left flower wasn't cut off. I feel as if I'm drawn to it and then it isn't even totally there. Composition feels just a bit off for that reason |

| very pretty and well lit. the composition is off to me however, by having the left most flower cut off in the frame. I'd either rather see it entirely like the other blooms or have you crop in closer on all of them. |

| i love this photo i love the contrasts i love the use of light and i love the focus.... it has such a warm atmosphere to it and i really wouldnt change anything to this photo though i do notice that you have a slight small border.... personally i wouldnt like to see it there though the photo is just too good for me to focus on that aspect of the photo... i really wish for this photo to be rated highly and highly commend you on your wonderful photo :D deff might look into it being a favourite |

| The lighting in this is very effective, bringing out the nice colours of the flowers, which go really well with your choice of background colour. I don't really like your eneven border though, because it's too thin and not a very nice colour in my opinion. 6 |

| The flowers have nice color and the light is ok, but the composition is lacking a little. The flower on the left is cut off a bit, and there doesn't seem to be a solid thing for my eye to look at (no clearly defined focal point). |
