What a nice shot. I love the contradiction between the natural and manmade. It looks like he was posing for you. |

Very cool shot! I wonder how it would look in sepia, the tone would fit with the window frame and the mood of the image...

The composition here is amazing. The long narrow window draws the viewer's attention right to the owl. To me it needs to be a bit brighter. Fill flash maybe or a little bit of sunlight, just something to brighten it up a bit. 9 |

Love this shot. The way cracks and plaster show and the age of the wood, coupled with your titled addage make this one of my favorites. |

One of my favorites in the challenge. I love the look on the owl's face. Some of the old buildings around here have owls in them but I've never been able to get a picture of one. Great job! |

One of my favorites in this challenge. If it had been just a bit sharper on the owl, I would have rated even higer. Nice job. |

You've proven it again, the most simple images are often the most effective. Great composition and exposure. The only small thing, out of your control, is the white streaks on the window sill. Great job destined for to be in the top 10 in my opinion. |

The owl is really too small in the frame, unfortunately, for a wildlife shot. The composition is interesating, though. |

I know who! ;-)
Nice capture of a wild animal in a rural setting. On my screen this image appears to be a little flat. Maybe a slight sharpen and a little more contrast. The black in the window appears dark gray instead of black. I like how the bird is looking right at me as if he's wondering why I'm looking back at him. Wonderful capture. -danny |

Everything in balance... except the owl. No shadow detal at all. Image is flatish in composition.... I LOVE IT! THe black off sets the owl, the details in the window frame (black on black) and the details in the stucco too. Great range of capture and incredible composition. In a nut shell... simple, elegent and would make a great 20x30! Great work... Congrats! |
