Excellent. Other than period issues (that boat would have been COOL if it was an old log raft)... I think the image is very nice. Processing here leaves me feeling as though I'm looking at a very well done painting, and while it doesn't exactly evoke the grandness of the Mississippi, it's certainly coming very close to the hopes I had for this challenge.

Comment Challnege: While not a literal interpretation, I believe this definitely captures the tone of Twain's book. A lazy day, a lazy river, golden sun and blue water, a little hamlet on the far shore. This has nice lines leading the eye into the picture. |

6...I see the connection for sure. A nice and quiet sort of image. The color seems off to me...on my screens it has a purplish tint and I'm not sure if it was intentional or not. |

I like the shoreline and the water. If you could have brought out more in the sky I think it would have been better. maybe also clone out the signs and whatever is floating in the water.

Nicely composed, well balanced, good autumn colors. Would have been nice to have a person in the frame. For me is a 5 |

Competent photo of water and reeds, but it says nothing to me. 2 |

Captures the mood of the lazy autumn day, although the outboard motor becomes an anachronism when considering Huck Finn. Composition and tones look good and I love the reflected mast leading in. 6 |

The gentle waves on the water, the warm autumn sun at the waters edge, the river itself all reflect the story well. 6 |

Image definitely follows the theme for the book ... what I would give to be on that boat floating gently away down the river! (critique: wish you had cloned out the signposts) |

I can't decide whats better, the beautiful warm light, or the ins and outs, zig-zags and ripples... |

Beautiful scene. Reminds me of a 'Bear Music' masterpiece! |

I feel a little tilt to the left ;) Certainly looks lazy out there, so it fits with your novel. Just a bit flat for me though, I do like those colours all the same. 5. |
