 Don't even ask how I came up with this idea. It just popped into my head one day. I know it's sick, and I'd never dream of eating cats, but they do so in parts of China and Korea, I believe, so it is an exotic food.

I was sat on the floor of a pet store for 15 minutes with this charming few week old kitten, and I wanted to bring him home with me. I got exactly the shot I'd intended.

thank you, sfalice. I agree with you, but I'm a bit biased. I can't say I'm that disapointed though. I scored the second highest that I have in all of my challenges. Going in the right direction, I suppose. Thank you, everyone for your kind words and kind votes.

Technically superb. Has emotional appeal also. I like the simplicity of this photo, the use of black and white, in actual color. Like how you focused on the kitten. Out of sight lighting! I think it fits the challenge theme. Anyone that gets a great photo like this using a cat as a model, gets a ten from me!

I think this is cute and quite clear, but I voted it lower because I don't really feel that it meets the challenge parameters. I'm not sure putting a cute kitten in a chinese takeout box qualifies him as food...

Awww now how cute is this!

But in ways, how true is this too... I love the contrast between the black and white kitty and the carton :-)

This is cute, but you could've set it up better...the lighting is bit harsh, too.

There's a cat in the kettle at the peking moon
