African Fish Eagle on take off. Golden Hour. In the TRUE wild and not a zoo.
I'm surprised at the lack of comments during voting. :(
Thank you for all the appreciative 6-10 votes. Trolls must try photograph wild birds...
There's no artificial vignetting to emphasize the bird or unnatural (to me) edit to make the image something it was not at time of shot.

Post Rollover: It seems that I have to have a massive mindset change about image selection and Post Processing my wildlife images if I am to get near TT or Ribbon Territory. At least this is the feedback I am getting for the TPL. (Or I have to shoot and enter work that is not my forte.)

Perhaps I should have entered this one:

But then again it's also a natural wildlife shot SOOC with no editing.

Gorgeous light sets the bird off beautifully! And what a thrill it must have been to capture this!

I personally like the light in this one better. Golden hour at it's best. Almost like he/ she was striking a pose for you. The light shinning through his/ her wings gives nice highlights to the eagle. If the eagles face was angled just slightly more towards the camera I would have said a perfect 10. Thank you for sharing!

Nope.. you entered the right shot for sure. This is a stunning shot and lighting is brilliant with background not distracting as it often can be. The biggest thing against this image is I suppose the angle. If it had been stretching it's wings at a slightly different angle - even just straight from the side as is But head looking forward or towards us it would have improved the dynamics of this image 100.

Harvey, this is truly one of the best images you've taken. That background is magnificent. This lens really does the job for you.
