 I am very pleased that this shot did well. I really love njsabs's original, and I was afraid I did not do it justice.
Original:

When I was searching for a DQ'ed shot I might be able to recreate I was immediately struck by Jen's image. A blonde girl in a b&w shot -- this seemed like it ought to be right in my wheelhouse.

Much thanks to my daughter. Out of the deal she got a similar shot from the same session (but without the dirt) that she liked and put on Facebook.

One of the images I was going to try for this challenge, which I ended up not entering. Very beautiful and technically wonderful recreation. Tiny nit might be that the strand on the right looks a bit oversharpened.

Little farm girl all grown up. Excellent lighting that really shows off the details in the face & hair. Love the catch-lights in the eyes. Light and dark tones/contrasts are spot on! Well done portrait work should place high.
