 I know it is not very realistic looking, but I reject your reality and substitute my own... :-)

Original image cropped and straightened, levels adjusted. Got a Moon image I took at the last full Moon and inserted it into sky as best I could keeping the sky glow, and darkened the sky in original image. Used the lightning strike filter in the night collect and adjusted settings a bit from the default.
