 Double exposure of my grandson. Manually flashed him with a strobe holding the chalk in the background with fog machine running, quickly covered up the board with a black cloth, then had him sit and look like he was in trouble and then flashed him again with a strobe and then released the shutter.
Processing Steps:

Cloned out the electrical outlet on left
Adjusted the perspective to square the chalkboard
Cloned out the chair residue from his sitting position
Smoothed his skin
Brightened his skin


For the final version, I used a nik filter (Silver Efex Pro) to add the brown tones and vignette. I thought it gave it more of a dreamy appearance.

Thank you everyone for the comments! The hardest part of the whole challenge to me was to make the chalkboard. I used an old piece of 1/4 plywood I had laying around, some used moldings from some home redecorating and some chalkboard paint I had from another idea that I never acted upon from a few years ago. It didn't make the greatest chalkboard but it worked. My grandson who you see pictured was right there by my side watching and "helping" the whole time. He is 8 years old and the funny thing is, he didn't really know what a chalkboard was as he is used to seeing "smart boards" at school! I thought oh my, how times have changed!

Brilliant and clever! So very realistic. The kid's expression takes me me back in time to when my younger nephew was that small (some 20 yrs back) and could 'put on' such an expression without in the least actually feeling contrite! :P

The stand-out image for me - I like almost everything about it (the background is a bit too dark - I'm really having trouble making it out and that's too bad). I like the lighting on the daydreaming boy, the writing on the board and tie with the title, the relative darkness of the background (just not quite so much), the grain, and the tones. Very nice. 10
