 On our trip to Maine earlier this month one of the things I really wanted to do was see the sunrise on Boulder Beach. We left our cabin at 3:00 AM to make it to the park. When we arrived we parked our car and hiked on down to the beach. As I got closer to the edge I had forgotten how slippery the rocks are next to the water, and down I went! My tripod went flying and I hit the rocks pretty hard. I got scratched up on the barnacles and actually landed on my camera which was thankfully in a canvas bag I use to carry my gear for these type of shots. Beyond the scratches both me and my camera were fine, although there is still some blood on my lens! (badge of honor!) The funny thing is that when I "hit the deck" the first thing I did was look up to see how close the sun was to coming up...I didn't want to miss the shot! :-)

A great shot and location. I feel the lack of detail in the rocks and the lack of "obligatory" clouds may harm the overall score.
