Believe it or not, this is the pipework surrounding one of the engines of a SR-71 Blackbird, the semi-retired Mach3 spyplane, which was on display (along with the aircraft itself) in one of the hangers at RAF Duxford, part of the Imperial War Museum.

Post processing work included: rotating 89 degrees, cropping, inverting, cloning out a few lines in the top corners (nothing major), and playing with the levels. The shot itself was taken with flash, so inverted from a golden brown to these great shades of blue, so I didn't need to use any hue-shifting.

Congratulations! Thanks for demonstrating that negative/inverted images can score well when it's used appropriately. Hope you're not violating the Patriot Act.

That's pretty wicked. Awesome colors.

My eyes wander all over the photo, though. So I think a clear focal point would help out, but regardless, this is awesome. 9.

Fascinating and certainly very complex. Too complicated to follow the veins of these pipes. Bumping up.

OK, this looks like the brain of a rocket scientist! Very Complex subject, nice job finding it even more impressed if you actually understand it! Anyway, well presented and executed with nice detail.

I gave this a 5. Wasn't keen on the negative effect. Content seems vaguely interesting and certainly complex but not overly aesthetically grabbing.
