Spent hours watching this mantis miss one meal after another. Most of the butterflies he captured managed to escape. This one did a split second after I took this.
I admit to being obsessed by bugs in the summertime, so my stories take place on a macro sort of level. Hoping this will not be interpreted as too dark or negative for the challenge. It's a predator/prey fight, but it is a fight, not a surrender to the inevitable.
PP - converted from RAW, cropped, levels, CEP (tonal contrast, vignette), dupe layer (blur, erase bugs, reduce opacity and flatten), Nik Silver Efex (sepia sort of thing), flattened in multiply mode, resized, Nik Sharpen, touched up zaggies/noise in a few places, added border. |
