The flower is largely red, but I made the background redder, too. Just to be blatant about he redness.
A little nervous about this one. I love how it looks on my iPad; not as impressed on the laptop..
Had the 35mm + 20mm extension tubes on.
PP - converted from RAW, cropped, levels, CEP (tonal contrast, Midnight effect, colorize red), vignette, blurred/cloned a ouple of bright spots in the background, resized, Nik sharpen, added border. |

| I really like the color but the DOF to me misses the mark, The front petal and the middle of the flower have the best focus but they are not as interesting as The Stamen would be, IMO either changing to focal point to the area of the Stamen or adding some DOF to include the Stamen in the focal plane would have been nice. Good luck in the challenge. |

I LOVED the thumbnail of this and love the full size even more. Great, rich reds in this image. Lovely detail on the focused areas. Great lighting. I adore this photo!
